Issues, Positions & solutions

1) Fitzpatrick has not fought against the excessive growth in government & accountability to the taxpayers – state government expenditures have grown significantly in the last ten years with little communication from the state auditor. Fitzpatrick has not forced disclosures from Jackson County Assessor on a timely basis for their arbitrary property assessments.

2) Fitzpatrick has not fought against government waste, fraud and inefficiency strongly enough or at least has not communicated outside of the audits enough to be a disincentive to government departments and employees.

3) Fitzpatrick has not provided enough independence and objectivity of the State Auditor Office; he is a long-term state politician.
