About Gerald "Jerry" Wistrand
My background
I have lived most of my life in the Midwest. I grew up in northwest Indiana. I saved money for college while working in the steel mills. I earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting with a Computer Science minor. I have worked for retail companies, banks, utility and oil and gas companies auditing their financials and computer systems.
Additionally, I have earned a MBA degree and the CISA, CISSP professional certifications. Part-time I have taught computer courses. I have supervised staff and I have been a professional certification trainer and facilitator for several years.
I have lived in Missouri for the last twenty-two years.
My top issues
Holding all levels of government open, transparent and accountable to all citizens.
Helping to limit the extent and grow of government throughout Missouri.
Helping inform and empower the citizens to guide government to meet their needs and protect their rights.
Providing professional, unbiased services and support to all citizens equally on a timely and cost-effective basis.
My involvement
I have studied both the U.S. and Missouri Constitutions and shared by knowledge with others. I have been involved in the grassroots interaction with government officials and legislators.
